Privacy policy

This policy explains what Wanta ("we", "us") collects when you use wanta.io, its subdomains such as do.wanta.io, and the tools we provide there (together, the "Services"), and what we do with it. Questions go to support@wanta.io.
What we collect
- What you give us. Your name, email address, business details, feedback, questions, comments, answers and anything else you type into a form or tool on the Services.
- What your browser sends. Pages you visit, links you click, browser and device type, the referring page, and your approximate location worked out from your IP address. We use cookies and similar technology for this, including analytics and session replay tools.
- What you connect. If you connect another account, such as a Google account, we receive the data you authorise, for example Google Search Console data for the sites you choose.
How we use it
- To run, maintain and improve the Services.
- To reply to you and send the emails the Services send, such as task reminders and replies to comments.
- To understand how the Services are used and fix what is broken.
- To keep the Services secure and to meet legal obligations.
We may use automated tools, including artificial intelligence and machine learning services from third-party providers, to process this information for the purposes above, for example to summarise feedback, draft tasks or analyse performance.
Google user data
If you connect a Google account, we use the Google data you authorise, such as Search Console data, only to provide and improve the features you use it for, such as reports and suggested tasks for your business. Wanta's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train generalised AI or machine learning models. People at Wanta read it only with your permission, for security, or when the law requires it. You can disconnect at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that run parts of the Services for us, such as hosting, databases, email delivery, analytics and AI processing. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Wanta, our users or others.
- As part of a merger, sale or other transfer of our business.
- With your consent.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we need it to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal reasons, and then delete or anonymise it.
Your choices
- Email support@wanta.io to ask for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it. We will respond as required by the law that applies to you.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work without them.
- You can disconnect a connected account at any time.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee it.
Children
The Services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Using the Services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
